Originally from Stoke on Trent, Rebekah moved to York in 2012 to pursue a degree in English Literature at York St John University, where she enjoyed a challenging three years of debate, research and analysis. Whilst studying for her degree Rebekah worked within the hospitality sector, working in the vibrant heart of York city centre, where she met and engaged with people from all over the world. After graduating in 2015 Rebekah decided to put down roots in York and work towards establishing a career in the city.
Having developed a keen interest in working with the public, Rebekah is excited about the potential of Healthwatch North Yorkshire and is thrilled to be a part of the team. Rebekah believes that Healthwatch is an important part of the community and is eager to be involved in work that aims to improve the lives and welfare of the public.
In her spare time, whilst enjoying a busy social life, Rebekah’s interests revolve around writing – where she is working on a personal blog and website, reading, travel and music.
