Your spotlight on local services

Enter and View Representatives

As a local  Healthwatch, we have a statutary power to Enter and View health care providers to observe matters relating to health and social care services.

The Enter and View activity for Healthwatch North Yorkshire involves visiting any publicly funded health and social care services in North Yorkshire. We visit services so that we can see what is going on and to talk to service users, their relatives and carers, as well as staff.

Every local Healthwatch across the country has a legal responsibility to carry out an Enter and View programme. Enter and View is not an inspection and our team are not inspectors like the Care Quality Commission.

We write and publish a report after each visit. Reports are shared with the organisation visited, the Care Quality Commission, commissioners, quality assurers and any other relevant partners.
