About this event

The Healthwatch network is supported by thousands of volunteers who help make a difference to health and care across the country.

Volunteers' Week is a chance to celebrate and say thank you for the fantastic contribution our volunteers make.

If you're interested in donating your time to help improve health and social care services for you, your family and your community, get in touch with your local Healthwatch.

Hannah Turlington

Hannah Turlington

Projects & Engagement Officer

Hannah is our newest member of the team and supports our projects and engagement work, getting out into communities across North Yorkshire to listen to people’s experiences of health and social care and make sure their voices are heard.

She brings more than 25 years’ experience of working with communities, families, carers and people who may face barriers to having their voices heard. Her background includes senior roles in education and inclusion, as well as developing and delivering community wellbeing and creative engagement projects across North Yorkshire.

Hannah enjoys meeting people, building trusted relationships and finding different ways to help people feel comfortable sharing what matters to them. She has worked with community groups, charities and public services, bringing people together and using what they tell her to help shape projects and improve services.

She is particularly passionate about reaching people who might not always take part in traditional consultations and making sure everyone has the opportunity to have their say.
