Meet Healthwatch in 2026: Tell us about your care, find advice and seek support
Healthwatch North Yorkshire staff and volunteers are out and about across the county, listening to people’s experiences of health and social care.
We want to hear directly perceive what works well and what could be better. Tell us about the great care you have received so we can thank services and staff. Share the challenges you have faced when trying to access support so we can raise these with decision makers.
Healthwatch is independent. We have legal powers under the Health and Social Care Act to ask services to respond to what people tell us and to explain what is being done to improve care.
If you feel unsure, stuck or do not know where to turn, our team can help you find clear, trusted information and understand your options. This can help you make informed decisions for yourself, a loved one or someone you care for.
What you can talk to us about
People often speak to us about things like:
- GP appointments and access to local services
- Hospital care and treatment
- Adult social care and support at home
- Care homes and choosing services
- Mental health and wellbeing support
- Support for unpaid carers
- How to raise a concern or make a complaint
You do not need an appointment and there is no pressure to share anything you are not comfortable with.
Everything you tell us is anonymous and won't affect your care.
We focus on listening to your experiences and helping you find the right information and support. We do not provide medical advice or influence waiting times.
