Once again, you spoke up for better care
During the past year, thousands of people shared their experiences with us or came to us for advice and information, helping shine a light on the issues that matter most to local communities.
Their feedback informed reports on topics including patient transport, healthcare accessibility, women's health, farming communities and mental health, helping ensure people's voices reached NHS organisations, councils and decision-makers.
The report also highlights the positive changes that have taken place as a result of local people's feedback. Healthcare organisations have responded to our recommendations, improvements have been made to services, and communities have continued to shape conversations about health and social care across North Yorkshire.
Alongside this work, Healthwatch North Yorkshire expanded its digital reach, supported thousands of people with advice and information, and secured widespread coverage across local, regional and national media, helping bring important health and care issues to wider audiences.
"Every conversation, survey response and piece of feedback helps us build a clearer picture of what people are experiencing when they use health and social care."
This report shows the real difference local people can make when they share their experiences. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to speak to us during the past year. Together, we are helping make health and care services better for everyone.
The report also reflects on a year of change for Healthwatch nationally while reaffirming Healthwatch North Yorkshire's commitment to remaining an independent voice for local people and ensuring their experiences continue to influence improvements in health and social care.
