Healthwatch North Yorkshire: Rural Access Project Report 2017

Healthwatch North Yorkshire is here to help local people get the best out of their local health and care services by bringing their voice to those who plan and deliver services across North Yorkshire.

Summary

Healthwatch North Yorkshire conducted extensive research with the aim of addressing apparent issues with limited access to rural transport links and the resulting decreased access to local healthcare services and the issue of missed appointments throughout the Craven district.

Working with Craven CVS we collected public experience data to influence service providers and promote best practice, putting emphasis on local solutions and peer support – building a framework of information to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in access to local healthcare service providers when providing care and distributing appointments.
